Naruto & Sasuke never killed anyone... coincidence?

Is it just a coincidence, or is Kishi planning every of Naruto and Sasuke's fights so that they don't have to kill their opponents? And by killing, i mean finishing off, because Naruto and Sasuke both defeated many of their foes, but never actually killed them.

Naruto's fights:
Kakashi kills Haku
Gato's men kill Zabuza
Doesn't kill anybody in The Forest of Death
Defeats Kiba and Neji in the Chunin Exam
Defeats Gaara
Hurts Kabuto pretty bad with his first Rasengan to protect Tsunade
Loses against Sasuke at The Valley of the End
Defeats Kakuzu with RasenShuriken but Kakshi finishes him off
Defeats Pain and makes Nagato change his mind about peace
...

Sasuke's fights:
Kakashi kills Haku
Gato's men kill Zabuza
Doesn't kill anybody in The Forest of Death
Defeats Yoroi (sound ninja) and fights Gaara during Chunin Exam
Defeats Naruto at The Valley of the End
Absorbs Orochimaru
Deidara blows himself up but fails to kill Sasuke
Fights with Itachi until he dies from overuse of his eyes (Susano'o)
Fails at capturing Killer Bee
Fights the Kages
Danzo blows himself up but fails to kill Sasuke

2 nd
yeah, Sasuke did kill one or two samurais at the Kage Summit, but you know what I mean, he didn't kill any of the important characters. And I know that Karin and Danzo would have died by Sasuke's fault anyways, but Kishi is making it so that Sasuke doesn't finish them off. Karin gets saved by Sakura (btw, where is she now...?) and Danzo does like Deidara and kills himself thinking it's gonna get Sasuke too
