itachi's true potential

So we barely know anything about all of itachi's trechniques.
So I was hoping we would see a back story or whatever you call the things about the past.
We had seen a lot from minato, so though we should see something from Itachi.

I think itachi had the potential to be the greatest ninja of all time to be honest. On topic, the manga is full of many back stories about itachi, we've pretty much seen his whole life and all his techniques. We just haven't seen him fight with a real intent to kill. I believe the writer does this to leave itachi's greatness and potential as a mystery.

All I can say is that he's insanely strong and a child of prodigy. Even when he fought Sasuke, he never did really have the intent to kill him. And also according to what I heard, he was prolonging his life with medicines until the day he and Sasuke would fight considering that he has a disease. He never showed his true potential. Even with that thought, you can still conclude that he's one of the strongest shinobi anyone could fight with. But his true powers will remain a mystery

Hopefully we get to see him fight to his full potential in this arc seeing as how that revival jutsu (can't remember name) gave him back his eyes hopefully it will take away his illness as well. Then maybe he'll show us how much of a badass he truly is
